PROJECT
BAM - Border As Meeting Point is a place dedicated to Performance Art, Action Art and Visual Art. This art space for local residents was created to encourage encounters between artists and with the population, on a regional and international scale.
«Artists need space and time.
As a Performance artist, I have participated in many festivals around the world over the past 10 years, and I know the importance of what happens between moments when the work exists in a more concrete and precise way.
Exchanges with other artists, discussions with the audience, writing time, research, questions. All these moments are part of the creative process.
The idea is to use my own house, located in a rural environment, as a meeting and research place for artists, far from the big cities where these artistic practices are much more visible.
BAM exists to create different ways to meet, share, exchange and deconstruct some walls.’’
Barbara Le Beguec Friedman, artist and curator of BAM.
